Elprom summits Mount Kilimanjaro

Stellenbosch-based contract electronics manufacturer Elprom, scaled new heights recently when two of its employees conquered Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest mountain peak.

Deneille Jacobs (electronic technician, pictured right) and Rudolf du Toit (software programmer, pictured left) were chosen as winners of an internal competition, to identify two suitable candidates to embark on an adventure of a lifetime during early October.

Rudolf applied his programming skills to set up a blog (www.rpdt.co.za), and by utilising cellphone technology, provided daily updates to the more than 350 employees who remained behind, keeping them abreast of the pair's progress.
