Axiomtek has released a high performance Mini-ITX form factor motherboard, the SBC86841, which supports LGA775 socket Intel Core 2 Duo and Core Solo processors with 533/667/800/1066 system bus. By adopting the Intel Q965+ICH8 Express chipset and dual core technology, this industrial-grade single board computer provides the performance to handle multitasking and provides a platform for system developers to deploy high performance, low power systems like gaming, POS, DVR, ITS, interactive clients, industrial control and automation, digital security surveillance and medical imaging applications.
The SBC86841 is equipped with signal/dual channel 24-bit LVDS and DVI-I interfaces onboard which integrate DVI-D (digital video) and CRT (analog video) for large size LCD panel displays. VGA functionality with Intel GMA 3000 Architecture is built into the Intel Q965 Express chipset which delivers powerful graphics performance, rich colour and supports Microsoft DirectX 9. The board has a maximum video memory of up to 256 MB, which is shared by the system memory. The DualView feature supports CRT plus LVDS, CRT plus DVI and DVI plus LVDS outputs with different contents and different resolutions. The board also comes with onboard multiple serial interfaces such as two IEEE1394a ports, eight USB 2.0 ports, eight digital I/O (three channel-in and five channel-out), four COM ports, optional TPM1.2, and optional CompactFlash Type II socket for SSD storage devices.
