Advantech has introduced two new ADAM analog input modules, the ADAM-5017P and ADAM-5018P. The 5017P has eight different independent configuration channels, supports power reverse and has a wide unipolar or bipolar input range. The 5018P is a thermocouple input module which supports seven input ranges and types (J, K, T,E, R, S, B), and with a filter function to remove any unreasonable readings.
Both modules support the High Common Mode function, which means that channel-to-channel differential voltages can be up to 200 V d.c. Now even more measurements, such as battery or power transducer/transmitter measurements can be achieved with this new design. Furthermore, they have over-voltage protection to avoid ranges ±60V d.c. that protect the modules from power surges.
Both modules are ADAM-5550 series expansion modules, meaning that they are supported by the ADAM.Net utility.
