At last year’s productronica show in Munich, Germany, Gen3 Systems took home a 2013 Global Technology Award in the category of ‘Best European Product’ for its Gensonic stencil cleaning system.
The system uses a 40 kHz direct on-contact ultrasonic transducer for optimised cleaning of stencil apertures. Adhesive residues can be easily and effectively removed from laser cut stencils, and misprinted boards can be thoroughly and repeatedly cleaned. Additionally, stencil cleaning using Gensonic typically demands less than 50 ml of cleaning solution per stencil, thereby reducing environmental impact and cost.
The Gensonic is portable enough to be taken directly to the printer, thereby reducing production downtime and printer resetting. Alternatively it can be used with the Gensonic stencil cleaning centre.
