TDK-Lambda’s new iJB series of 60 A, non-isolated SMT DC-DC converters are compact point-of-load (POL) modules offering high power density and high operating efficiency from light- to full-load conditions. They are PMBus read and write compliant and digitally controlled, giving them the flexibility to address a broad range of applications including communications, test, broadcast and industrial equipment.
The devices perform local voltage conversion from 8 – 14 V d.c. bus voltages at up to 93% efficiency and feature adjustable output voltages from 0,6 to 2,0 V with setpoint accuracy of 0,5% and highly accurate current read-back; the digital adaptive control feature accommodates a wide range of external load capacitance.
Measuring 26,8 x 24,1 x 9,7 mm, the power modules support paralleling with interleaving for implementation in higher-current applications. Standard features include negative or positive remote on/off, power-good signal, remote sense, configurable sequence and fault management capabilities, and fully automatic recovery protection for over-current and over-voltage conditions.
