Dual frequency synthesiser module

8 October 2014 Computer/Embedded Technology

The Valon 5008 dual frequency synthesiser module provides two independent frequency sources suitable for high-quality clock, carrier, or local oscillator frequency generation applications. An integral microcontroller with Flash memory retains frequency settings after powering down, making the devices ideal for portable equipment or in any application where user-programmable and non-volatile frequency settings are desirable.

The integrated USB serial interface and intuitive configuration software allow the user to program the desired operating frequency of each synthesiser and save to the onboard memory. The outputs can be independently set to any frequency in the 138 - 4400 MHz range, and both synthesisers can be locked to the onboard high-stability, precision TCXO or to an external reference.
