The BK 6000 Deluxe, made by Blackjack SolderWerks, is a digital multi-purpose reworking system that incorporates a temperature- and airflow-controlled hot air gun, a 70 Watt soldering iron (with fume extractor) and a handy through-hole desoldering pistol. An easily installable mechanical arm can be used with the hot air gun to essentially provide an extra hand for the operator, making for faster and easier repairs.
The hot air gun is equipped with a trio of protection features – system cool down, automatic sleep mode and overheat protection, and the soldering iron’s temperature settings can be adjusted by the user to account for larger or smaller tips.
The suction-activated desoldering pistol features a heated tip with a passageway through the centre. Once the heated tip melts the solder, the user simply pulls the trigger on the front of the pistol to activate the vacuum suction pump. The molten solder is then sucked up and stored in the spring filter in the handle of the pistol where it can be removed later.
