Designed specifically for testing and measurement in the DC – 40 GHz frequency range, Radiall’s TestPro cable assemblies offer outstanding electrical performance combined with mechanical robustness and durability for a long service life. High-precision, multi-layer braiding and wrapping maintain stability and flexibility over thousands of bending cycles.
The cable assemblies feature ruggedised high-grade stainless steel connectors attached using a proprietary method for high electrical stability and a long product life: the assemblies are guaranteed for 5000 mating cycles.
Two product categories are available in the Radiall TestPro range. Phase Stable TestPro cable features exceptional stability and long life, and is designed for daily use on laboratory test benches or in production floor testing in applications such as component and assembly shops and automatic test equipment.
TestPro 4.2 is a high-frequency microwave cable that has low loss and is triple shielded. It has a frequency range of DC – 20 GHz and delivers a combination of low attenuation and VSWR/loss/phase stability. Armour is available as an option.
TestPro 3/TestPro 3 Low Profile ranges operate over DC – 26,5 GHz and DC – 40 GHz respectively and have integrated armour. Phase Stable Test Pro cable assemblies are crush, torque and tensile resistant, easy to configure to DUT and have long calibration intervals. They are available in standard assembly lengths of 60 cm, 90 cm and 180 cm, with custom cable lengths available on short lead times.
Ultra Low Loss TestPro cable is designed for applications where loss is an issue. They allow the use of long cables with remote test stations, thermal vacuum chambers, anechoic chambers, near field scanners and are also suitable for high-power applications. Ultra low-loss microwave cables and low-density PTFE tape wrapping mean that TestPro 5 and TestPro 8 boast high phase stability over a temperature range between -55°C and +125°C, and very precise phase matching.
To meet test and measurement requirements, TestPro 5 and TestPro 8 are reinforced and have excellent crush resistance. Terminated with ruggedised TestPro connectors that have a unique centre contact captivation system and attachment method, these assemblies are highly reliable over multiple matings. Available in a standard assembly length of 99 cm, custom lengths are available on short lead times.
What is an RF connector? Spectrum Concepts
Editor's Choice Interconnection
If you look across the broader electromagnetic spectrum, the selection of the 3 kHz to 300 GHz frequency range for RF signals is a result of a balance between propagation characteristics, data transmission requirements, regulatory allocations, and the compatibility of electronic components and devices.
