High-resolution pressure sensor

The MS5637-30BA is a new generation of high-resolution miniature industrial pressure sensor from MEAS. Complete with an I2C bus interface, it is optimised for air pressure measurement systems with a resolution of 0,5 mbar.

The sensor module includes a highly linear pressure sensor and an ultra low-power delta-sigma analog-to-digital converter (ADC) with internal factory calibrated coefficients. It provides a precise, digital 24-bit pressure and temperature value and different operation modes that allow the user to optimise for conversion speed and current consumption. A high-resolution temperature output allows the implementation of a pressure measurement system and thermometer function without any additional sensor.

The MS5637-30BA can be interfaced to virtually any microcontroller. The communication protocol is simple, without the need to program internal registers in the device. The device is housed in a 3 x 3 x 0,9 mm QFN package with an antimagnetic stainless steel cap protecting the pressure die. It operates from 0 to 30 bar and in temperatures between -20°C and +85°C, and performs conversions as fast as 5 ms.
