In addition to developing customer-specific solutions, PTR offers many standard battery test probes for applications like charging rechargeable batteries in mobile devices such as scanners, card readers, communication devices, etc, as well as for connecting two printed circuit boards.

Series 5099 probes are designed for a 3,00 mm centre and are available with a variety of tip styles. They feature a working travel of 1,00 mm and full travel of 1,20 mm, and have a maximum current rating of 5–8 A and typical continuity resistance no greater than 10 mΩ. Optionally, Series 5099.04 has a longer travel (3,30 mm working; 4,00 mm full) and typical continuity resistance ≤20 mΩ, and is only available with a rounded tip.

For a larger, 4,0 mm centre, Series 5110/S provides a working travel of 2,80 mm and full travel of 3,50 mm. Supplied in a variety of tip styles, this model’s maximum current rating is 10 A and typical continuity resistance is no greater than 10 mΩ.
