Digital step attenuator

13 July 2016 Analogue, Mixed Signal, LSI

Mini Circuits announced the latest addition to its surface mount digital attenuator range, the DAT-31R5A+ series. This attenuator is packed in a small DG983-2 case style, measuring only 4 x 4 mm.

The wideband device operates up to 4 GHz and is designed to be immune to latchup. It boasts a high IP3 of 52 dBm and provides adjustable attenuation from 0 to 31,5 dB in 0,5 dB steps. The control is a 6-bit serial/parallel interface, and the attenuator operates with either a single positive or dual (positive and negative) supply voltage.

The DAT-31R5A+ series has accuracy of 0,1 dB and a very fast switching control frequency of up to 1 MHz through its parallel control interface.
