Universal docking station highly functional

21 November 2001 Electronics Technology

Bopla's desktop or wall-mounted unit can be used as a holding, locking and contact-making device. It offers high functionality in terms of data, power transmission and attractive appearance.

The system consists of two basic sizes, each of which can be used either as a complete enclosure in desktop or wall-mounted applications or as a lid for wall or front panel mounting. Screw-on adapters with and without a clip are used for enclosure fixing. Designed for mobile applications in vehicles, the UDS-S comes with drill holes positioned to match the major commercially available car adapters.

The transmission of data and electric power between the station and the enclosure takes place via a special contact board (available as accessory). The contacts in the mobile enclosure are protected from damage by the adapters. The UDS-L version has a recessed mounting surface on the rear of the bottom part which allows the fitting of male or female connectors to provide not only mechanical protection but a clean appearance.

Bopla offers the stations in black or agate grey (similar to RAL 7038) as standard.
