Former Atmel products added to Microchip’s online store

31 January 2017 News

Following Microchip Technology’s recent takeover of Atmel, all former Atmel products are now available on microchipDIRECT, Microchip’s full service channel. For the first time, customers can purchase products such as AVR and SAM microcontrollers and development tools direct from the manufacturer.

microchipDIRECT carries the largest available inventory of Microchip’s products. The service offers pricing for all volume levels, the ability to schedule orders up to 12 months in advance, order tracking, buffer stock and many payment options including credit lines. In addition, it is the first manufacturer–to-customer website that allows customers to upload their custom code on a microcontroller or memory device. It also offers true global support in 10 languages.

“We built microchipDIRECT to be the most capable manufacturer website in the industry,” said Mitch Little, vice president of global sales for Microchip. “Its offering is unmatched in terms of inventory and complete 24/7 support.”
