Modular 19” subracks

14 June 2017 Enclosures, Racks, Cabinets & Panel Products

Electronic components require protection in order to withstand the effects of extreme temperature, and it is critical to select subracks that promote consistent performance and efficiency.

Pentair Schroff has a wide selection of subracks, also known as card cages, which are frequently used for reception of printed circuit boards (PCBs) in the 19” Eurocard form factor or 19” plug in units (PIUs). These subracks ensure versatile and rugged protection for 19” and individual electronic assemblies. Boasting modular construction, a wide range of standard, modified or customised options are available for a wide range of applications.

Applications range from standard industrial to robust transportation, light military, telecom use and rugged level products. For enhanced protection, models are also available with shock and vibration resistance and EMC shielding.

The subracks are available in kits and can be modified with various accessories or with individual components. In addition to customisation options in terms of size, colour and cooling, an RFI shielding option on the subrack level can provide up to 30 dB shielding at 2 GHz.
