NEW SA 2010 offers exhibitors savings, draws local support

11 November 2009 News

The organisers of National Electronics Week South Africa have revealed an early bird savings offer for electronics professionals who sign up to exhibit at the show. Coming to South Africa following a few successful years in the UK, National Electronics Week has built a reputation for offering cost-effective business, networking and educational opportunities. For NEW SA 2010, space-only stands are priced at R1300 per square metre, while space-and-shell scheme stands are on sale for R1600 per square metre. However, an early bird rate is being offered until 20 November 2009, whereby exhibitors can save R200 per square metre.

Shell scheme pricing includes walling, carpet, fascia with company name, one spotlight for every four square metres, one power socket with 500 W supply, one counter, one table, two chairs and two shelves. Commenting on the new show and pricing structure, Event director Claire Saunders explains, “National Electronics Week South Africa represents a unique opportunity for the region’s electronics sector, so when it comes to pricing we are as competitive as possible to ensure everyone gets the chance to make the most of the show. The early bird pricing is a fantastic offer that we hope will reward some of our most enthusiastic supporters in South Africa. We are absolutely delighted with how well the show has been received so far; the reaction has exceeded our expectations. We are now working hard to ensure we deliver the abundant business, networking and educational opportunities the region’s electronics industry so deserves.”

Local electronics association ADEC has also announced its support for the exhibition. According to ADEC representative Jenny Gooding, “ADEC’s primary objective is to contribute to the creation of an environment which encourages dynamic growth of the electronic manufacturing industry, at both component and system level, in South Africa. We believe that NEW SA 2010 is exactly what the industry needs right now, and we are excited to be joining forces with the NEW SA team at one of Johannesburg’s most prestigious venues. The advantages and benefits that NEW brings to the SA industry is an offer that ADEC could not refuse. We believe this will give local manufacturers a platform to promote their products and services to an international audience and, equally, offer SA-based customers access to international exhibitors.”
