The new SIM900B from SIMCom is a complete quad-band GSM/GPRS module in a board-to-board configuration. It is compatible with the existing SIM300/340 and SIM340E modules and features a powerful single-chip processor integrating an AMR926EJ-S core. Combining high performance and low power consumption, the SIM900B is a suitable wireless module for many M2M applications.

The module covers the 850/900/1800/ 1900 MHz GSM/GPRS bands and offers low sleep mode current consumption of just 1,5 mA while operating over the temperature range from -40°C to +85°C. It comes with a standard 60-pin board-to-board connector and is offered with optional embedded SIM and SIM holder.
