The new Mini UPS power supply from Phoenix Contact providing 12 V d.c. and 4 A secures the operation of all connected loads in electrical systems – both when the mains supply is operating perfectly as well as when line faults occur. Compact and simple to use, it combines the power supply unit and the uninterruptible power supply in a modular electronic housing.
The low-profile design with dimensions of 67,5 x 99 x 107 mm saves space on the mounting rail. The wide-range input permits input voltages from 85 to 264 V a.c.; a regulated and adjustable output voltage from 10 to 16 V d.c. at 4 A is available at the output. In buffer mode, the battery module supplies an output voltage of between 13,6 and 9,6 V d.c. The buffer time varies according to the load current; this means that the power supply delivers, for instance, 4 A for 20 minutes or 1 A for 2 hours.
Comprehensive signalling using three indicator lamps and active switching outputs increases system availability. The battery charging status, the operational readiness, the buffer mode, as well as alarm messages – eg, when the battery module is at a low level – are displayed. The lifetime of the battery module is extended as a result of optimised battery management. Thanks to temperature-compensated charging, stress on the battery module is reduced at high ambient temperatures. An integrated time shutdown function and the pre-assembled connecting cable of the battery module lower installation time and costs.
