With the BOS 21M-PA-PT-S4 opto-sensor, Balluff has expanded its range and now offers a complete range of presence, contrast and luminescence sensors.
Offering numerous functions and modern sensing technologies, the device's M12 connector is very practical as it can be rotated over 270° with stops at 0°, 90°, 180° and 270°. Versions with teach-in button and potentiometer ensure rapid set-up and ease of operation.
One specialty of this sensor is its ability to sense glass, as used for example, in bottle conveying. This is because the BOS 21M-PA-PT-S4 is able to detect the slightest difference in contrast necessary to sense glass.
All sensors in the BOS 21M family feature a complementary PNP or NPN switching output as well as CE and UL approvals. The sensor measures 50 x 42,5 mm, is constructed of an impact-resistant, compact metal housing that makes it ideal for use in severe environments.
Applications include robotics and automation as well as conveying and packaging technology. Accessories include mounting brackets, stands or dovetail clamps for optimal mounting in virtually any desired position or orientation.
