Hammond Manufacturing is launching the 1455F flanged extruded aluminium enclosures, which add a further variant to the popular 1455 standard family, giving further options to the 1457 IP65 sealed version, the 1457-EMI screened variants and the 1455HD thermally efficient units.
The 1455F features a completely new extrusion that incorporates a flat base with integral mounting flanges that extend beyond the body of the unit to facilitate mounting the units to a wall, bulkhead or machine. Two sizes are initially available and others will follow. Both the launch sizes are designed to accept 50 mm wide, 1,6 mm thick PCBs with lengths of either 80 or 120 mm.
Initial body sizes are 80 x 54 x 23 mm and 120 x 54 x 23 mm; the overall width is 77 mm including the two mounting flanges. The mounting flanges are finished with two notches on each side to accept securing screws. Other features include:
• Completely flat base for neat mounting of the unit to a surface.
• Two removable aluminium end panels for easy modification.
• Available in a clear or black anodised finish.
• Four alternative horizontal mounting positions for the PCB.
