The SCM1301A step-down (buck) regulator is a new addition to Mornsun’s product lineup, with a very wide input range of 4,5 V to 40 V d.c. It is suitable for a wide range of applications from industrial to automotive. An ultra-low 1,6 μA shutdown current prolongs battery life, making it ideal for IoT devices and any other application with a standby battery.
The regulator operates at a 0,7 MHz fixed frequency with small external components while still exhibiting low output ripple voltage. Soft-start and compensation circuits are implemented internally and these allow the device to be used with minimum external components.
The SCM1301A is optimised for up to 1 A load current and has a 0,765 V nominal feedback voltage. The device has built-in over-temperature and short circuit protection and is available in the TSOT23-6L package (2,9 x 1,6 x 0,8 mm).
