The AP43771V from Diodes Incorporated is a USB Type-C Power Delivery (PD) 3.0 PPS decoder dedicated to power source applications with legacy capabilities. It is compliant with USB Type-C specification 1.2 and USB PD specification 3.0 version 1.1. The device also passes QC4/4+/QC5 compliance certification by Granite River Labs (GRL).
The AP43771V supports PPS APDO with 20 mV/step resolution and 50 mA/step current resolution for optimal battery thermal management. In addition, the device also supports cable-loss compensation and SOP command for eMarker detection.
I2C interface and GPIO pins are available for AP43771V (W?QFN4040?24) to facilitate multiple-port independent output voltage application where built-in smart power-sharing firmware is implemented to maximise power usage in any scenario.
The AP43771V possesses 45 W and 65 W single-C or dual-C reference designs for USB PD3.0 PPS-based quick charger designs to shorten design-to-production cycle time. It comes in W˗DFN3030˗14 and W˗QFN4040˗24 packages.
