Electrolube’s ULS400D Ultrasolve cleaning solvent is a fast-drying solvent specially formulated for the quick and efficient cleaning of electrical equipment. It replaces CFC solvents such as 113-trichloroethane due to rapid cleaning and fast evaporation rates.
ULS is suitable for cleaning PCBs, electronic equipment and components. It removes flux residues as well as offering efficient degreasing properties. In addition, it can be used to remove acrylic conformal coatings. A CO2 propelled aerosol version is available that has 20% more active cleaner.
The product contains flammable solvent so should not be sprayed onto live electrical equipment or other sources of ignition. The user should immerse the surface to be cleaned or spray onto the surface to excess and allow it to evaporate. A brush or foam-tipped bud may be used to remove any stubborn deposits.
For use in large-scale production, ULS may be used in ultrasonic cleaning equipment which must be adapted for use with flammable liquids.
