Anritsu has introduced a multi-functional spectrum analyser that combines nine instruments in a single package. Covering 9 kHz to 4 GHz, the Field Master MS2080A is a compact and portable spectrum analyser which brings benefits to interference hunting and 5G/LTE base station installation and maintenance applications.
The MS2080A combines a fast sweep speed of 45 GHz/s, advanced user features such as interference source location by triangulation, and best-in-class RF performance, including ±1 dB amplitude accuracy. The unit also supports a cable and antenna analyser, power meter, and sports 5G/LTE analysis to make it an ideal general-purpose instrument that addresses measurement requirements for both legacy and emerging wireless networks.
The MS2080A supports a full range of measurements for 5G frequency range, including C-band to support installation and maintenance of 5G New Radio (NR) and LTE base stations. The unit offers full-channel, power-based, and 5G/LTE modulation quality measurement-based coverage mapping for accurate Over-the-Air (OTA) testing.
An optional real-time spectrum analyser (RTSA) that provides 2,5 µs probability of intercept (POI) is available. The RTSA has up to 40 MHz analysis bandwidth, making it well suited for capturing intermittent and digitally modulated signals that can be hard to identify.
The analyser has been designed for rugged field use providing 5 W of continuous RF input overload protection, preventing costly damage to the instrument’s front-end when used close to high-power transmitters or in high signal level environments. A large 10-inch 1280 x 800 resolution display meets the demanding IK08 specification for direct knocks and drops.
