Vishay’s range of high-reliability ultrabright chip LEDs feature a tiny footprint with excellent efficiency. Available in two sizes, SMD 0603 and 0402, they can be used in a variety of applications.
The SMD 0603 are available in both lead frame and PCD-based housing. With its underlying AllnGaP technology, these chip LEDs exhibit an extremely wide viewing angle up to 160°, with exceptional brightness. The components have a temperature rating of -40 to 100°C and are compatible with IR reflow processes.
The smaller SMD 0402 LEDs are PCB-based chips which utilise AllnGaP and InGaN technology. They have a wide viewing angle of 130° and are compatible with IR reflow soldering. These chip LEDs are preconditioned according to JEDEC level 2a specifications.
Suitable applications include wearables, switch illumination, displays for industrial control systems, and miniaturised colour effects.
