RIP Chris Viveiros

28 February 2025 News

It is with sadness and heavy hearts that Otto Wireless Solutions and Linksfield announce the passing of Chris Viveiros. Chris passed on 28 January 2025 a short illness at the age of 50.

Chris joined Otto Wireless Solutions to help Barry Culligan establish the new business in 2010. He was an integral part in the development and growth of Otto Wireless, becoming a director of and shareholder in the business, while working together with Barry for fifteen years to help grow and develop the company into its present-day success.

With technical expertise and commitment, Chris played an important role in navigating the ever-evolving technical landscape of our industry and keeping up to date with the rapid technical advances in the industry. Through his innovative thinking, dedication and pursuit of excellence, Chris helped Barry to guide the business through growth and development, establishing a reputation of integrity, precision and commitment for Otto Wireless.

In 2022 Chris, together with Barry and Links Field Networks Hong Kong, entered into a joint business venture, Links Field Networks SA.

Chris’s technical knowledge, his dedication to both businesses and his collaborative spirit were the cornerstone of his work ethic. His loss and the impact of that loss is deeply felt by his colleagues at both Otto Wireless Solutions and Links Field Networks.

Outside of business, Chris was a committed family man who showed kindness, generosity, and a sense of humour. His passing will be greatly felt by his wife, Monica, who is employed at Otto Wireless Solutions and Links Field Networks, and by his 4 children and his extended family.

We will always remember Chris for the contributions he made, for our friendship, and the support that he gave to all of those around him.

Rest in peace Chris and condolences to Monica and the children, extended family, friends and to all those who shared a work relationship with Chris, and who knew him.
