Würth Electronics South Africa has taken a significant step forward with its recent relocation from Cape Town to Johannesburg, marking a new phase of growth and ambition for the company. The move, celebrated with an official opening ceremony in May, signals a strategic shift aimed at strengthening service delivery and regional reach.
Johannesburg was a natural choice for the new base. As the commercial and industrial hub of South Africa, it offers a central location, excellent logistics infrastructure, and direct access to the country’s core electronics manufacturing and design sectors. This positioning allows Würth Elektronik to respond faster to customer needs, while expanding its footprint across sub-Saharan Africa.
The new facility at JT Business Park in Longlake Ext 3 spans 480 m2, providing ample space to enhance operations and improve efficiency. With upgraded warehousing capabilities, customers can expect improved availability, quicker turnaround times, and stronger technical support.
The relocation is also a testament to the collaboration and dedication of the Würth Electronics South Africa team, whose efforts ensured a smooth transition.
