Low-priced oscilloscopes

27 June 2012 Test & Measurement

With the introduction of the 1000B series, Agilent Technologies has made available four new two-channel oscilloscopes, with bandwidths from 50 MHz to 150 MHz, offering powerful capabilities at an attractive price for engineers, technicians and educators.

Offered at a starting price 30% lower than Agilent has ever offered before, the new models are equipped with a sharp colour LCD display that is easy to read even from wide angles. They offer up to 16 kpts of memory per channel, and a 1 GSps sample rate to provide excellent signal detail.

All 1000B series oscilloscopes can display 23 automatic measurements, including those made with a built-in frequency counter. The instruments come standard with go/no-go mask testing capability, which allows even inexperienced oscilloscope users to perform precise parametric tests. The scopes also offer advanced capabilities like sequence mode, which allows users to record and replay up to 1000 occurrences of a trigger for easy identification of glitches and other anomalies.

The user interface and front-panel labels on the 1000B series are available in 11 languages to support worldwide teams. USB connections make it easy to share and document measurement results. A free educator kit helps teachers and professors teach essential oscilloscope skills.
