SynQor announced a new line of uninterruptible power supply units that are designed for the extreme environmental and demanding electrical conditions of military/aerospace applications.
The UPS will accept a wide range of input voltage and frequency values while delivering a well-conditioned AC output to the load. Its use of lithium polymer batteries permits the lowest-profile and lowest-weight solution in its power class. Options include a DC output and the ability to also draw power from a military standard 28 V d.c. input.
The units feature a sealed, weatherproof and shock-proof design. The hot swappable internal battery pack (lithium polymer) comes as standard with >10 minute runtime at full power after the loss of input power. The UPS has a 1250 W (1500 VA) power output with a full-power operating temperature range of -20°C to +55°C.
These rugged UPS units work from a universal AC input of 80–265 V, 47–65 Hz with power factor correction at the AC input. They also feature dual-input (AC and optional DC), true on-line double conversion, cold start with no AC or DC input connections, pure sinusoidal AC output voltage (115 V a.c., 60 Hz) and handle 0,0–1,0 power factor loads and non-linear loads.
A communication signal I/O port comes as standard in a rugged 1U high rackmount unit with a weight of 14,5 kg (including battery pack).
Options available on these units are DC input (28 Vnom) for dual source, extended battery pack (in 2U high unit) for >24 minutes of runtime, 360 Hz–800 Hz AC input and 50 Hz or 400 Hz output. An auxiliary isolated DC output (up to 500 W) is also available.
