Bourns announced the release of three new series of gas discharge tubes (GDTs) targeting industrial and telecommunication applications requiring high current handling capabilities.

The devices are suitable for applications in surge protection devices (SPDs), power supplies, service entrance protection, branch panels and DIN-rail protectors.

The 2061-xx-A series measures 11,8 mm in diameter by 12 mm in length, and offers breakdown voltages between 230 and 800 V with a maximum 8/20 μs surge rating of 60 kA.

The 2063-xx-A series has the same diameter but is longer at 17 mm. It also exhibits breakdown voltages ranging from 230 and 800 V, but with a higher surge rating of 100 kA.

Finally, the 2097-xxx-D series measures 11,8 mm in diameter by 17,5 mm in length, and offers breakdown voltages between 1000 and 2200 V with a maximum 8/20 µs surge rating of 25 kA.
