Nordson DAGE launches cost-effective X-ray inspection system

Nordson DAGE announced the launch of its new and improved Jade FP (flat panel) X-ray inspection system during NEPCON China 2013.
After the covers were removed from the system the show attendees had the first chance to experience its unique technology and learn how it provides high image quality for X-ray inspection applications in the value oriented market segment.
The system leverages the technology from the company’s NT tubes, radiation resistant flat panels and other hardware and software which it uses in its high-end Ruby and Diamond systems, but with lower-cost components to target a segment of the market that Nordson DAGE is not traditionally
known for.
The company has opted to employ its in-house open tube technology in the Jade FP, and believes its use of bespoke designed components offers technical advantages over the off-the-shelf components used by competing machines. The system also features radiation-resistant flat panel technology.
Technical features include 1,4 megapixel resolution, sub-1 micron feature recognition, up to 65° angle view and the ability to roll 360° continuously around any point of interest.
