New from Murata is the MTE1 series of isolated 1 Watt single-output DC-DC converters. Suitable for a broad range of industrial and automation applications, these units have an efficiency of up to 88%, resulting in little waste heat being dissipated. The devices also feature tight load regulation.
Input voltage options are the five most popular nominal input voltages: 3,3 V, 5 V, 12 V, 15 V or 24 V d.c.. Output voltages include 3,3 V, 5 V, 9 V, 12 V or 15 V. Full load capability is provided across the full industrial temperature range of -40°C to 85°C.
The MTE1 series has MSL 1 moisture sensitivity rating and is compatible with a peak reflow solder temperature of 245°C according to J-STD-020D. Packaged to match an industry standard footprint, the converters can be used as pin-compatible replacements for older designs, without the need to redesign an application’s PCB layout.
