National Instruments recently attracted more than 100 engineers, scientists and educators to its South African LabVIEW Developer Days in Johannesburg and Cape Town.
The annual events provided an opportunity for new and existing LabVIEW users of beginner, intermediate and advanced levels to learn about time-saving tips and expert development techniques.
Technical Sessions conducted at the event explored topics including data communications, advanced design templates and sample projects, LabVIEW Real-Time and FPGA, tips and tricks to speed development, and what is new in LabVIEW 2012.
Attendees also heard from Certified LabVIEW experts from National Instruments Alliance Partners, with guest case study presentations from Kiaros Virtual Instruments and Jad Systems, who presented on topics including architecting high-reliability systems and considerations for robust, remote networked data acquisition.
Those interested in LabVIEW Developer Days can review the event presentations and other resources at southafrica.ni.com/devdays2013/resources.
The diversity of industries and applications where LabVIEW is being used by local engineers and scientists continues to grow, across industries including mining and transportation, government and defence, advanced manufacturing, utilities, academia and research”, said Stephen Plumb, branch manager for National Instruments Southern Africa. “LabVIEW Developer Days provide engineers and scientists from a wide range of industries and varying application types with a unique opportunity to learn of time-saving development tips and programming techniques, network with fellow developers, and explore some of the latest features and capabilities of NI LabVIEW. With LabVIEW being used for so many innovative applications throughout South Africa, these events provided our local developers with a great opportunity to provide user feedback and help drive the future direction of LabVIEW.
