Digital storage oscilloscope

7 August 2013 Test & Measurement

The new GDS-2000A series from GW Instek is a digital oscilloscope family featuring 2 GSps sampling rate, 2 Mpt record length, two or four input channels and an 8” colour LCD display, capable of performing fast waveform acquisition and processing at 80 000 waveforms per second update rate.

With bandwidths of 300 MHz, 200 MHz, 100 MHz and 70 MHz, and inputs of two and four channels, the product family has a current total of eight members. The 2 Mpt record length not only enables deep waveform storage but also acts as an extended database of the input signals for post-storage waveform analysis.

Search-engine software, waveform search and segmented memory come as standard to facilitate easy search for waveforms of interest. Waveform search defines the waveform types for the search whereas segmented memory divides the whole record length into a number of segments to speed up the waveform search by looking into only the segments containing the waveforms of interest.

The GDS-2000A series is equipped with RS-232C interface, USB ports and Go-NoGo output as standard, while an Ethernet port, SVGA video output and USB to GPIB adaptor are available as options for user’s free selection.
