In response to the high-reliability power supply demands of the medical market, Mean Well has introduced the GSM40/60 series of 40 W and 60 W AC-DC power adaptors featuring high efficiency and low power consumption.

Both series comply with international medical safety regulations per 2*MOPP level.

Possessing leakage current as low as 100 A, 91% efficiency, and no-load power consumption below 0,1 W, the units can fulfil the high quality demands of medical applications and are good power solutions for ‘patient contact’ applications. They comply with the latest global energy-saving regulations.

With 80–264 V a.c. full range input and 5–48 V different output voltage options for a range of medical equipment, the PSUs supply Class I power with earth ground pin and are enclosed in a UL 94V-0 rated plastic case, which can effectively prevent users from electrical shock. Standard functions include an LED indicator and protections against short circuit, overload, over-voltage and over-temperature.

The power supplies carry global safety certificates per UL, CUL, TUV, CB, FCC and CE to ensure their safety and reliability for diverse applications such as medical equipment requiring low leakage current, chemical and biological detection equipment, analysis facilities, and any electrical systems with low no-load power consumption requirements.
