Farnell element14 has partnered with global electronics supplier TT Electronics to introduce the MagnePot 6150 series of new non-contacting rotary position sensors with a service lifetime of up to 100 million revolutions.
The sensors are up to the demanding requirements of industrial, medical, aerospace and factory automation markets.
Designed to operate reliably in demanding conditions, the devices are available with sensing angles between 35 and 360 degrees. Incorporating Hall effect non-contacting technology means they do not wear out as in contacting devices and there is no degradation of the output signal over time, making them ideal for applications where minimal maintenance is required.
The 6150 family features a bushing mount with a 7/8” diameter package and a minimum of 10 million shaft rotations. Special designs with sealed shafts, rear lids and coated electronics for protection from severe environments are also possible. A supply of 5 V d.c. is required and the ratiometric output goes from 3% to 96% of the supply voltage.
