The Epcos range of ceramic transient voltage suppressors from TDK are voltage-dependent resistors with symmetrical V/I characteristic. Their resistance value decreases with increasing voltage, effectively short-circuiting a further rise in over-voltage.
Multilayer varistors (MLV) with response times below 0,5 ns protect electronic circuits in mobile communications, automotive electronics, industrial applications, consumer electronics and information technology against electrostatic discharge (ESD) and transients.
The product range consists of MLVs, ESD/EMI filters, Cera diodes, SMD disk varistors and leaded transient voltage /RFI suppressors (SHCVs).
