Complementing its MSP-100, MSP-200, MSP-300 and MSP-450 power supplies, Mean Well has introduced the 600 W MSP-600 series of AC/DC medical power supplies.
The enclosed units comply with international medical safety regulations (MOOP level) and feature low leakage current (300 A at 264 V a.c.) making them suitable for non-patient contact medical applications. They also feature no-load power consumption below 0,8 W, a five-year warranty and EMI Class B compliance, meaning they can be used in ‘green mode’ medical equipment or electrical devices.
Featuring 85–264 V universal AC input, the MSP-600 provides 3,3 V–48 V output voltage options and possesses up to 89% efficiency. It is cooled by a built-in DC fan for full-load operation at -40°C to +50°C ambient temperature, and can be operated up to +70°C using appropriate derating.
Other standard functions include protection against short circuit, overload, over-voltage and over-temperature, 300 V a.c. input surge immunity for five seconds, remote ON/OFF control, remote sense, fan ON/OFF control, and DC OK signal output. In addition, to meet the requirement of higher wattage application, the MSP-600-24/36/48 models can be operated with up to four units in parallel.
The power supplies comply with global medical certificates per UL/ CUL/ CB/ CE. Suitable applications include medical equipment requiring low leakage current, chemical or biological detection equipments analysis facilities, or any other systems requiring low no-load power consumption.
