MEC has unveiled an addition to its standard Multimec 5 series of illuminated switches, in the form of a high-intensity green LED. The switches are available in through-hole and surface-mount packages rated for 50 mA/24 V d.c. They feature single-pole/momentary switching action and are good for 10 million operations.
The new green LED boasts an intensity approximately 14 times that of the company’s standard green LED, and the new switch can be used in combination with a variety of caps for visibility even in daylight. The switch is sealed to IP67 and can handle temperatures between -40°C and +160°C (maximum +85°C for the LED).
