TDK announced the introduction of the TDK-Lambda R series of high-performance EMC line filters with convenient connection options. The extensive range of low-profile, single-phase (RS series) and three-phase (RT series) filters enable designers to combat potentially noisy disturbances in end-system applications, such as those found in medical, industrial, test and measurement and communications equipment.
The current ratings for the single-phase units range from 0,5 A up to 300 A, with line voltages up to 250 V a.c. or 250 V d.c. and leakage currents of 1 mA. Low leakage models are available with 10 μA of leakage current at 250 V a.c., 60 Hz. The three-phase filters offer current ratings from 6 A up to 1000 A, with line voltages up to 500 V a.c. or 500 V d.c. The maximum leakage current is 2,5 mA at 250 V a.c., 60 Hz or 5 mA at 500 V a.c., 60 Hz.
For ease of installation, many of the models can be specified with wire leads, lug terminals or captive screw terminals. A choice of either standard chassis or DIN rail mounting is also available on many filter models rated up to 30 A (with screw terminals).
Single-phase RS filters are safety certified to UL1283, CSA C22.2 No. 8, and EN60939 (up to 30 A). Three-phase RT filters are safety certified to UL1283 (up to 150 A) and EN60939 (up to 300 A). Their operating temperature range is from -25°C to +85°C. All units are RoHS compliant and come with a one-year warranty.
