The new Y-Circ P range from Yamaichi features machined contacts designed to handle both secure data transmission and high currents, and to do so after more than 5000 plug cycles.
Their push-pull locking mechanism permits simple insertion and unlocking of the connector by pulling on the housing.
The parts can be connected to other existing series on the market, but is shorter than most competing products, thereby saving space. The shield’s half-shells are designed identically to avoid confusion and ease assembly.
The first members of the new family come in the form of the B series, with a protection rating of IP50 and a number of combinations. Initially, three diameters are available, each of which can be equipped with a different number of contacts. The chrome-plated metal housing is high in quality and tough, so the connector is also suitable for use on visually demanding devices.
