This system from Weller uses two micro-tools based on active tip technology, with quick substitution possible between them. The tips integrate the temperature sensor and the resistance, providing rapid heating times (100°C/sec). As heat is produced directly in the tip, this technology is ideal for micro-soldering applications with high heat demands.
One of the two tools in this range is the 55 W (WMRP or WXMP) micro-pen, perfect for small and micro-soldering operations where high heat output is still required. Small and lightweight, this tool offers excellent performance and is particularly effective for use under a microscope.
The micro thermal tweezers (WMRT or WXMT), composed of two 40 W heads, is effective for soldering and de-soldering even the smallest of SMD chips, as well as for de-soldering dual in-line components, thanks to an extensive range of contact tips.
Both tools are also available in military standard (MS) versions and models with integrated movement sensor (to manage standby) and memory for programming operating parameters.
