Euroquartz has launched a new range of oscillators that offer wide operating temperature range, femtosecond integrated phase jitter and enhanced phase noise performance.
The new XON91 and XON53 oscillators offer frequencies from 1,25 to 60 MHz and are capable of withstanding temperatures from -55°C to +125°C. Phase jitter is typically 500 fs from 12 kHz to 20 MHz integrated. XON91 series oscillators are available in 7 x 5 x 1,8 mm surface mount packages while XON53 devices are in 5 x 3,2 x 1,2 mm miniature housings. Both feature a standard 4-pad layout.
Ideal for use in a wide range of applications, including military COTS (commercial off-the-shelf) projects and industrial control systems, these new oscillators offer stability of ±100 or ±50 ppm over the specified operating temperature range and also offer excellent phase noise performance (from -85 dB/Hz typical at 10 Hz to -155 dB/Hz at 10 MHz).
Versions of both ranges are available for operation from 1,8 V, 2,5 V, 3,3 V and 5 V supplies with current consumption as low as 7 mA depending on frequency. Additional specifications include rise times of 7 ns or 10 ns maximum depending on supply voltage, 15 pF load, startup time of 5 or 10 ms depending on frequency and ageing of ±2 ppm maximum for first year. Solder profile is 260°C maximum.
