Instrument range for testing wirelessly

Fluke’s CNX 3000 Wireless is a customisable, troubleshooting set of wireless test tools that work together, recording live measurements remotely and simultaneously on a single screen.

The platform provides a complete wireless measurement system that allows the user to make primary measurements on a multimeter, while simultaneously viewing measurements from remote voltage and current modules. These wireless test tools also offer increased safety by letting the operator view readings in a separate location from the test point. Readings can be taken on moving machinery, with only the measurement module in harm’s way.

In one example use case, three CNX i3000 iFlex AC wireless current modules can be connected to test points, and the results can be viewed from all three voltage supply phases up to 20 metres away on the CNX wireless multimeter. Alternatively, the CNX v3000 AC wireless voltage module can be connected and both voltage and current measurements can be viewed simultaneously.

The modules can be used as standalone measurement tools or they can be combined with other CNX modules as a system for multiple measurements. From short distances, readings from modules can be read through closed electrical panels. It also means that users of the system no longer need to write down data, as the CNX remote modules capture up to 65 000 sets of time-stamped min/max/avg readings, using the optional PC adaptor.

The CNX 3000 wireless multimeter offers true RMS AC and DC voltage measurements to 1000 V; true RMS AC and DC current with 0,01 mA resolution; continuity, resistance, diode test, capacitance and frequency measurements; min/max recording; and CAT III 1000 V, CAT IV 600 V and IP54 ratings.

The CNX i3000 iFlex AC wireless current module features true RMS AC current measurements to 2500 A; 3% accuracy; memory recording up to 65 000 readings; iFlex current probe for access to tight, awkward spaces; backlit LCD display; and CAT III 1000, CAT IV 600 V, CAT III 1000 V and IP42 ratings.

The CNX v3000 AC wireless voltage module provides true RMS AC voltage measurements to 1000 V; ±1% accuracy to 500 Hz and ±2% accuracy to 1 kHz; memory recording up to 65 000 readings; backlit LCD display; and CAT III 1000 V, CAT IV 600 V, CAT III 1000 V and IP42 ratings.
