With a typical efficiency up to 94% and a flat efficiency curve over virtually the entire load range, the CCL400 power supply from XP Power does not require any forced air cooling. It can continuously deliver the full 400 Watt output with convection cooling over the temperature range from -40°C to +50°C and across almost the entire input voltage range. The unit can also be conduction cooled, enabling the full 400 W across the entire input range and up to +70°C ambient temperature.
Measuring 100,3 x 177,8 x 39,9 mm, the PSU complies with the standard 1U chassis mount format, and an optional enclosing cover is available to order. Typical applications include medical systems such as life support, imaging and blood processing equipment. In particular, since no cooling fans are used, the units are ideal for medical systems that stipulate low audible noise specifications. The series also suits use in a wide range of industrial and technology solutions.
The product range comprises four single-output models that provide the popular nominal output voltages of +12, +24, +30 or +48 V d.c. A user trim function provides output voltage adjustment of ±3% of stated nominal in order to accommodate load losses. Protection features and control signals include power fail signal, remote sense and remote on/off. A +5 V d.c. / 0,5 A always-on output is available to power logic circuits.
