Product development cycles continue to get faster, and consumers demand an ever increasing number of DC-powered devices. New personal communication products, computers, wearable electronics, toys, music players, watches and other DC-powered devices are announced daily. The unrelenting pressure on R&D engineers increases as these devices proliferate.
With the addition of five new models, Keysight Technologies is providing engineers with a choice of high-quality DC power supplies that are ideal for the bench and for remote control via USB and LAN (LXI Core). The E36100 series permits manual operation via front-panel, remote soft front-panel operation, or with semi-automatic or fully automatic procedures.
With their compact 1/4-rack form factor, the units can save precious space on a test bench or in a rack. They can be set up quickly and predictably through the alphanumeric OLED display and intuitive on-screen menu system, and controlled via built-in web interface, BenchVue or Keysight IO libraries. Automation of complex or repetitive testing can be accelerated via SCPI or IVI programming, while system throughput can be enhanced and test quality improved with high-speed output control and fast command processing.
The new range comprises the E36102A (6 V, 5 A, 30 W), E36103A (20 V, 2 A, 40 W), E36104A (35 V, 1 A, 35 W), E36105A (60 V, 0,6 A,36 W) and E36106A (100 V, 0,4 A, 40 W). All models allow characterisation of low-power devices over wide ranges using low-range current readback, and provide protection to the device under test through over-voltage and over-current detection.
