The PACE PH 100 is a high-powered (1600 W), non-contact infrared heating system which allows operators to safely preheat printed circuit boards (PCB) for fast, efficient soldering, rework or repair, even on the highest-mass, lead-free assemblies.
The system’s sleek, slim-line design offers a very low working height that improves operator comfort, reduces fatigue and is perfect for use under a microscope. Featuring an intuitive, 3,5” resistive touch screen display, the PH 100 provides easy adjustment of all operational, temperature and power settings, and allows the operator to select colour scheme and button layout at will.
Powered by four robust 400 W IR heating elements, the large 300 x 300 mm heating area is protected by a durable, easy-clean glass-ceramic surface that efficiently transmits IR heat without emitting irritating visible light as other IR systems do.
The PH 100 is closed-loop temperature controlled by either an internal sensor or one of two external thermocouples which can precisely monitor and control temperature on the PCB top or bottom side. Front and back heating zones can be independently controlled, or turned off completely for added process control and flexibility.
The heater comes standard with a magnetic PCB holder which is easily adjustable to a variety of height/size combinations and accommodates large assemblies (295 mm x unlimited) as well as small or irregularly shaped boards.
Other features include set temperature range of 20°C – 200°C; independent temperature offset adjustment of heating zones ±50°C;preheat time-at-temperature option with audible alarm; advanced and user modes; normal and fine heating response modes; password keypad lockout, USB port firmware update capability; and more.
