To ensure reliable contacting of printed circuit boards (PCBs) which are contaminated with residues and or oxidised from the soldering process, a wide range of test probes is available from PTR, including the HPL (high pre-loaded) range which offers better penetration of contaminants and enables better signal transfer even in lead-free applications. Amongst the test probes in this range are several models for contacting of assembled, unleaded PCBs, offering high initial pressure and large penetration depth.
Series 1008/E features a 1,27 mm centre with a full travel of 6,40 mm, working travel of 4,30 mm, pre-loaded spring force of 1,40 N and spring force at working travel of 2,00 N. The current rating for this series is 2,0 – 3,0 A.
Series 1012/E features a 1,91 mm centre with a full travel of 6,40 mm, working travel of 4,30 mm, pre-loaded spring force of 1,20 or 1,60 N, spring force at working travel of 2,00 or 2,80 N, and a current rating of 3,0 – 4,0 A.
Series 1025/E features a 2,54 mm centre with a full travel of 6,40 mm, working travel of 4,30 mm, pre-loaded spring force of 1,30 or 2,00 N, spring force at working travel of 2,00 or 3,00 N, and a current rating of 5,0 – 8,0 A.
All of these test probes come in a variety of tip styles, and feature typical continuity resistance below 20 m.
