DC-DC converters for 3 to 20 Watts

26 June 2019 Power Electronics / Power Management

The new TRI line of DC-DC converters from Traco Power comprises a set of high-isolation, regulated parts which come in a compact DIP-24 package for the 3-10 W units or 5,08 x 2,54 cm for the 15-20 W packages.

The devices feature a sophisticated reinforced isolation system which is able to withstand high test voltages of up to 9000 V d.c. for 1 second and 5000 V a.c. for 60 seconds, and working voltages of1000 V a.c. RMS. Complementing this isolation characteristic is a high common mode transient immunity of 15 kV/µs.

The new design makes it possible to fully integrate an EN 55032 class A filter and greatly reduces the no-load power consumption. High efficiencies up to 90% allow safe operation from –40°C to +85°C. All models have a 2:1 input voltage range and precisely regulated, isolated output voltages.

With the latest IT safety certifications (IEC/EN/UL 62368-1), the TRI line is relevant for many demanding applications in the industrial, transportation and instrumentation sectors. All Traco power devices have a standard three-year product warranty.
