Legrand buffs up its Sandton premises

18 September 2013 News

Legrand has commemorated the extensive renovation and extension of its premises in Sandton, Johannesburg, with an official inauguration function attended by investors, architects, interior designers, consultants, distributors and the press.

“Legrand’s recently completed refurbishment encompasses new offices, an interactive showroom and a training facility, which will be used for customer discovery visits, training sessions and product launch events,” explains Luk Ivens, general manager of Legrand Southern Africa.

Besides general product displays, the 450 m² showroom includes themed rooms to showcase dedicated product solutions, emphasising home automation, hospitality, healthcare and the office environment. Legrand’s products have been installed throughout the building to underline its product offering.

Ivens says the refurbishment is aimed at improving brand awareness and enhancing the company’s position in a developing sector, whilst contributing to a solid growth platform for the South African subsidiary of the global Legrand Group, which employs over 35 000 people in more than 70 countries.

The installation encompasses fully functional distribution boards, Soluflex raised flooring and structured cabling throughout the offices. Apart from trunking – designed for efficient power and data networking – floor boxes, desk modules and diverse wiring devices, Legrand has also highlighted its sophisticated lighting management and automation systems. Access control, CCTV and many other components have also been installed.
