Zetech commences local manufacture of laser cut stencils
22 March 2017Manufacturing / Production Technology, Hardware & Services
Zetech has acquired the exclusive franchise from ASM (DEK) for the manufacture of laser cut stencils in southern Africa.
ASM (DEK) is a world-leading manufacturer of stencils and owner of the DEK and VectorGuard brands, and was looking to increase its market presence in the region. According to Zetech owner, Zalman Orlianski, as a long term DEK distributor in the region, Zetech was eager to take the opportunity to expand its product range offering to its existing customer base.
The stencils’ laser cutting facility is commissioned at new Zetech premises in Edenvale, Gauteng. The facility includes laser cutting equipment, stencil CAD, and inspection facilities. Zetech will provide customers with the following local capabilities:
• Access to standardised DEK CAD design rules, on which Zetech personnel were trained by DEK for design and manufacture of stencils.
• Vector Guard product portfolio.
• Stencils in other frames formats.
• Local manufacture of stencils in a variety of thicknesses and materials.
• Quality verification identical to that of DEK stencils worldwide.
• Fast turnaround.
• Backup via worldwide DEK Stencil Network.
• Supply chain of Multilevel and NanoUltra stencils from DEK Europe.
ISO 9000 certification is planned for further development of Zetech’s new facility. The new division has a dedicated email address, [email protected], through which it can be contacted for stencil requests and Gerber data.
